This Centre is run by a Registered Society named ‘Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra Society’ consisting of (a) General Council (b) Executive Council and (c) Academic council. The construction of the Complex has been fully funded by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt. of India and also partly supported by State Government. The fund for the maintenance of the project flows in from the State and Central Govt. grants, public donations and rental from the different components of the Complex offered for various organization and institutions from time to time.

Honourable Chief Minister of Assam is the Chairman of General Council. With a keen interest in ‘Art’ and deep knowledge about the Culture and Tradition of the State, he has been able to guide the team to take this Institution forward to a great extent and achieve the main objectives of preserving, protecting and promoting the Cultural Heritage. The place has liven up with lot activities and participation from the younger generations of the society.
