The Dance, Music and Drama part of the Cultural activities fall under this section. This section is developed to promote, preserve and protect the arena of this aspect of the Cultural Heritage of Assam and Northeast in general. Regular Workshops, Cultural Shows, Exchange Programs and variety of other activities have helped in consistently keeping up the keenness of people towards the Cultural Heritage through Music, Dance, Songs and Theatre. Artists from all corners are provided opportunities to bring forth their own worth.

Since the year 2000, Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra has been arranging a 17 day long cultural event on the occasion of New Year. Every year this festival takes place from 1st to 17th January. Different ethnic groups of Assam like the Bodo, Rabha, Missing, Deuri, Tiwa, Hazong, Dimasa, Rengma, Khelma, Kuki, Manipuri, Hmar, Jayantiya, Garo, Karbi, Khamti, Tai Phake, Jemi Naga, etc participate in this festival. Apart from the ethnic communities of the North-Eastern region, performing groups from all over the country including West Bengal, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Kerela, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, etc have participated in this festival.

Another regular cultural event called the ‘Rongali Utsav, The Festival of Bihu is being organized every year in association with Assam Tourism on 28th, 29th & 30th April every year since 1999 to 2009. The music and dance related to the spring festival of every ethnic groups of Assam have been performed in this festival besides other programs like contemporary and old Assamese modern songs, performed by renowned singers of Assam. Another event has been added which is the display of the traditional ethnic dresses and wedding ceremonies of different ethnic groups were demonstrated on the ramp in the Rongali Utsav, 2004.Every year “Chator Priti Mela” is organized on account of Rongali Bihu.

Apart from these regular and fixed events, Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra has been organizing Srimanta Sankaradeva International Festival in every year since 2016 and different cultural events, workshops, seminars from time to time. Mou-Mel the children special programme is being organised in every month since 2000. Workshop on Bihu, Kamrupee Lokageet, Goalpariya Lokageet, Jikir & Jhari, Dehbicharar Geet, Folk dances of Assam, Gauriya Nritya is being held in different times.
